Enabling the global transition to Green Energy

Morella is an exploration and mineral resource development company, focused on lithium and battery minerals. Morella’s management are long term believers in the need to decarbonise the economy. A lower carbon future is being spearheaded by the global Electric Vehicle (EV) revolution. Over the past decade Morella’s management team have developed particular expertise in the EV and lithium supply chain. Morella is progressing two project interests, one in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the other in Nevada, USA. Both projects have confirmed lithium mineralisation and, as the projects and respective resource definition develops, have the potential to support the surging demand for battery minerals required to allow a global transition to green energy.

Morella brings together an experienced and dedicated Management Team that specialises in converting exploration projects into fully operational mines.

With nearly two centuries of combined mining and exploration experience, Morella’s Management Team has developed and put into production some of the largest mines around the world.

Morella’s Management Team have extensive experience with Tier 1 assets across iron ore, coal and lithium.

Board of Directors

James Brown, Managing Director

Mr Brown is a Mining Engineer with extensive operational and development experience in the mining industry, including 22 years at New Hope Corporation. He was appointed Managing Director in September 2010 having previously been the Group General Manager since December 2008.

Allan Buckler, Non-Executive Director

Mr Buckler has over 45 years’ experience in the mining industry and has been directly responsible for the commercialisation of several projects from resource identification through to production. He is a former Director and Chief Operations Officer of New Hope Corporation, and was appointed a Director in December 2008.

Dennis O’Neill, Non-Executive Director

Mr O’Neill is an exploration geologist with over 35 years’ international mining experience across various commodities, across Australasia, Africa, Asia and North America. Mr O’Neill was a founding director of Lithium producer Orocobre (now Allkem). He was appointed a Director in December 2008.

BT Kuan, Non-Executive Director

Mr Kuan is a mechanical engineer with considerable experience in logistics specifically the development and management of bulk handling and terminal operations. He was appointed a Director in November 2007.

As an Australian exploration and resource development company, enabling the global transition to Green Energy, Morella is committed to progressing its journey in the most sustainable way possible.

Morella will strive to generate value while managing sustainability through robust business and decision-making practices. Sustainable business is fundamental in who we are and what we do.

Morella is developing (and in due course) will issue a Sustainability Plan that will be reported against annually. Achievements against the Morella Sustainability Plan will maintain our social licence to operate.

Board Governance

Morella is financially prudent and well governed, regularly reviewing its governance practices to ensure best practice.

The Company has issued and will routinely review, and update following the Charters, Statements and Policies in order to encourage and maintain a culture of ethical and positive corporate governance:

 

Trade Terms and Conditions

This document contains Morella’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Purchase Orders. It applies to any agreement that the Company enters into by issuing a Purchase Order to the nominated supplier

Site and Field related Contractor Safety Requirements

No person, fauna or flora should suffer any ill effects arising from work undertaken by Morella.

In support of this objective, Morella recognises its responsibility for maintaining the workplace through the implementation and maintenance of an appropriate Health Safety and Environment Management System.

The Health Safety and Environment Management System provides a structure for creating, developing, managing and reporting HSE issues on a continuous improvement basis.
